About QualiFind

The people behind QualiFind

We've both been on the hiring side of this, needing the right license on a job and finding out how hard that is to get right.

I'm a property investor and flipper working all over Florida. I buy homes, remodel them and sell them, which means I hire contractors constantly. The work is only half of it. The license and the paperwork are the other half, and that half is where deals fall apart.

Not long ago I needed a new driveway on one of my projects. The contractor I'd lined up didn't have a license, so I had to find and hire another one. It was more complicated than it should have been, and it's the same thing I keep running into with general contractors on my remodels.

I've done enough of these now to know what it takes to get a job done properly in this state, and what it costs when the licensing isn't right. That's why I'm part of QualiFind. The people doing the work deserve a clear, legal way to do it, and the people hiring them deserve to know it's done right.

I've been building companies for thirty years, in three countries, and construction has been in the family for over fifty years.

Then I came to Florida and tried to start building here. I didn't have a clue that I needed a license. I spent a long time going around in circles, misadvised by whoever I happened to be standing next to in Home Depot, before I worked out how it was actually supposed to be done. Nobody ever sat me down and explained it.

That's the whole reason QualiFind exists. The rules aren't the problem. Nobody explaining them is the problem.

How we work

What you can count on

We verify both sides

Real identity checks on the contractor and the qualifier, and the qualifier's license read against the state record every day.

We walk you through the paperwork

The state's application is long. We go through it with you, one piece at a time, so nothing is sent in incomplete.

Not ready isn't a no

If something isn't in place yet, tell us where you are. We'll help you get there.
